heard galahead aio cooler alot of noise after long usage, how true?
gigabyte aero vs msi edge? which one will be your pick?
Aero G vs Edge is generally quite similar. VRM wise it doesn't really matter because anything above a MSI Z790-P Pro can handle a i9-13900K just fine, even overclocked.
When paying for more premium boards, you generally get
1. More or more flexible IO (key thing you should look at)
2. More overclocking features (External clock gen, 8 layer PCB, LN2 OC mode, POST code, voltage read points)
Both Edge and Aero G have similar rear IO, though Edge has faster USB ports overall. However, I think Aero G could potentially be more useful in a production perspective.
1. You are using a mouse and keyboard and these don't need fast USB3 ports so the MSI edge fast ports are kind of irrelevant.
2. All the PCIe slots are full sized so you can use capture cards in those slots
3. Aero G has an interesting feature called Displayport Passthrough. You can use a displayport cable to connect your GPU to motherboard, and then have video output from GPU in a USB Type C connection. This is super useful if you are using a graphics tablet from say, Huion, Wacom or XP Pen. You can use a single USB-C cable to carry video, power and input signals to and from your graphics tablet. This will free up extra USB Type A and HDMI ports for other uses.
