Can kind soul recommend good and not so expensive toilet bowl? I understand 一分钱一分货 but I've very tight budget (around $350 for toilet bowl + basin). So I'm looking for low-end brand like Otto, Baron, etc.

A question on toilet bowls - are white ones difficult to maintain?
Does maintenance have relations to price?
Ie are those pricier, better quality easier to clean?

What to look out for when buying one?

TIA!

• First you need to know what type u r using.
P-Trap or S-trap.

• Next you need to know the distance, 5inch, 6 inch, etc from the center of the hole.

• Choose 2 ticks or 1 tick. Don't choose 3 ticks. Water saving for toilet bowl means
the flush is weak. Ended up you have to flush 2 or 3 times to clean your "business"
wasting more water.

• And if urs is S-trap....try not to get those toilet bowl with holes at the back.
otherwise, cleaning will be difficult or lizards, spiders can make a 2nd home in there. :(

This is American Standard toilet bowl model.

And lastly...dunch choose toilet bowl with screws at the side.
you gonna accumulate more dirt or water if you do not have dry/wet toilet areas.

Sorry to post here as not sure whether can receive advise here.

My toilet bowl seem choked! After I flush the water will rise up then takes about 15 second to sink to the bottom. Then it will rise to the usual mark again in 5 seconds.

What could be the problem here, how to solve? Nee to call for repairman?

Does the brand play a part?

I bought a Treo toilet bowl for $430 (excluding seat cover).
1 year 2 months later, the bowl leaking and need to spend $130 to repair. Just nice its out of the 1 year warranty period so need to pay.
If this continues, very soon my repairs will cost more than the toilet bowl.

personally i feel brands plays a part although most of the toilet bowl are made in China.
but
is the QC that matters.

Just like iphone and Xiaomi phones r made in China but the process of making it is very different.
From design to production, there are alot of steps & procedures involved and who will oversee the quality assurance?

If you are getting something permanent, invest a good piece.
eg, Aircon, kitchen cabinet top, toilet bowl....all these r your daily usage things.
can't really skimp on it.

items that are not permanent , you can get it later or buy cheaply from online,
eg, TV, fridge, washing machine, vaccum cleaner, /...coz as technology evolves,
these items gets better and cheaper.

So weigh the importance over permanent items vs "temporary" items.
Needs vs wants.

Of coz everyone has different views on this.

:) :o :)

Using Baron W888. Love how easy it is to clean cos the sides are all flushed, no nooks & crannies to have to reach in to. Also has a slow closing cover. Honestly i think its good enough. At the end of the day its just for sh*tting 🤣

Is Heritage price better than outside and do they have wide selections? I think i saw at Domaco their w888 price should be slightly lower than 330. Intending to get my toilet accessories there.
