Recommendations for MOBO+CPU

Hi to all the IT veterans here,

Could anyone recommend me whats the best Mid range Mobo+Cpu combination i could go for?

Currently looking to Upgrade my mobo and Cpu and Maybe Ram. but i have no idea which upgrade is the best for me. as i always bad with Mobo and CPU knowledge.
Hope the veterans here could recommend some good stuff to me. haha.

My budget is around 500 -650+-

Why cant play? Definitely can play most games high setting at 1080p. He just need a mobo and cpu to combo with his gtx 970.

I thought his budget was for everything in a new build. Forgot to check that he has a Zotac GTX970. Apology.

Yup.. just need mobo and cpu... cause that's the only 2 components I have not upgrade.. the rest all upgraded when they died on me one by one in the last 1 year.

No point. You won't feel any diff. Save up more for better mobo+cpu upgrade like the X99 platform.

Die die must buy something, then change to a better capacity SSD.

Did tot of that... but past 1 year most of my components take turns spoil and I keep upgrading one by one... now left mobo and cpu.. lol
