TL;DR
  • The RedMagic 11 Pro will launch in China on October 17 at 2:30 PM (local time).
  • The teaser highlights a water-cooled design with visible tubing on a transparent variant.
  • The device will to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

Nubia has officially confirmed the launch date for its next gaming flagship, the RedMagic 11 Pro, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most ambitious designs yet. The company shared new teaser images showing the phone wrapped in glowing blue tubes, accompanied by a hashtag that translates as #RedMagic11ProWaterCooledMobile. The series will be unveiled in China on October 17 at 2:30 PM local time.

The Weibo post, shared by RedMagic’s official account, hints at a new cooling system that goes far beyond the setup of most Android phones. The hashtag implies that water cooling will be the unique element, with the promo images showing both black and white models alongside a transparent edition that appears to showcase visible tubing across the back panel.

RedMagic, which is a sub-brand of Nubia, has previously been a frontrunner in smartphone thermal management, utilizing hardware such as vapor chambers to maintain steady performance during extended gaming sessions. Liquid cooling would certainly take that to the next level.

No additional specs were confirmed in the announcement, but the phone will debut with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. RedMagic is traditionally one of the first to adopt Qualcomm’s top-tier silicon, pairing it with aggressive cooling hardware aimed squarely at power users and mobile gamers. We’ll be watching with curiosity to see how well it comes together in practice.

RedMagic 10 price strat was so weird
Strangely cheaper in USA than in China (rest of world was close-ish to CN price)
Doesn't make much sense since US is probably the less interested country in mobile gaming

Will 11 follow

Some state no tax, that means $650 usd flat (low $600 for early bird and/or student)
Cheaper than the 4999 yuan, even the state with tax 4-6% also still slightly cheaper

Us model also 7050 mAh + 100W charging
vs Cn 6500 mAh + 80W

How is the OS? Heard some says it's bad. Not sure to get this or wait for ROG 10 😄
If you like the no punch hole display, just go with it

ROG phones lost all of it's selling point on the last gen. They removed the no punch hole display, the impressive dual front facing speakers, and a big battery. They have entered the mainstream design direction which to me is not attractive at all anymore. If one is into a gaming phone, the redmagic is a much better option right now.

In general it's fine but dun expect regular security updates nor Android updates coz it has almost none, probably once every quarterly unless there's bugs to fix. And Nubia(not just redmagic) phone's Google pay/wallet cannot be used for public transport till now
But as a gaming and media phone it's awesome

Not very related to nubia, but is there any other brand that has this restriction? Im too used to samsung pay, but willing to give it up for my next phone. But if cant even use phone to tap for transport is a deal breaker for me.

not sure about some other brands, but i was ok with using gpay/google wallet for public transport using oppo and oneplus. I believe Vivo phones work too. Note that Nubia/Redmagic phones is not cannot be used with google pay/wallet, but it just doesnt work or work well with public transport, Normal retail contactless payment works fine.

Don't think it's a phone problem.. previously my Simba also fixed to 4g only in many areas this year...

It's phone problem. I swapped SIM card to OnePlus phone, can see the 5G NSA.
Another phone issue was not able connecting to SIMBA at 18 Tai Seng basement floor. However, after 9 Sep firmware update (previous update was on Apr 2025), the issue was resolved.
