1. GPS settings is always troublesome for China ROM outside of China, but you can try checking your GPS/Location setting and check that Google Location Accuracy is ON. I am using K30 Pro China rom, no issue except location history cannot be turn on.

2. I have this issue before but seems to go away now. You can try what I did, app info make sure AutoStart is ON and in permission allow "Display pop-up windows while running in the background", "Show on lockscreen" and "Permanent notification"

Other issues I have found out, there is some issue with syncing of google contacts. So my whatsapp contacts suddenly disappear and instead I can only see the phone numbers of people. Then I need to go and refresh the contacts for the contacts to appear.

Overall very buggy software. Regret buying this phone. Will be my last China phone. My next phone will be Samsung or Google/Motorola.

I just uninstalled and reinstalled WhatsApp and it fixed the call notification issue. Duh! Why didn't I try that before.

Its not buggy except for WA notification
Just that u need to do many settings urself unlike global rom

For the WA contact is very easy
Go to apps>manage apps>google contact sync
Enable Always allow modify and delete contacts and read contacts

For china rom, every apps with push notifications like whatsapp, telegram etc
U need to turn on auto start and disable battery saver

For google frameworks and play service, enable every permission except those bottom ones like show on lockscreen, display pop up etc
Phone call access permission also no need

U will be fine when u use most apps

I did all settings yet this issue exists, sometimes I get the WhatsApp calls. Sometimes don't.

Last option u can do is factory reset phone like me
For the frameswork playservice etc
Install the latest version from apkpure
Frameworks use android 10 version

Mine alot better after i did above
But all ur data will be wipe off so u need to backup first

Mine is latest version from apk. initially I did from the mi store, then uninstalled and installed the correct version from apk.

I feel like flashing global rom but don't want to take the risk.

Not sure. Mine is 4g, which is same as redmi note 9 global.

When I go to manage apps -> whatsapp -> app behavior, I see below. Why was the permission denied? I didn't make any changes to permissions. This happens every now and then my contacts disappear in whatsapp and then appear on their own. Then sometimes I don't get whatsapp call notifications. Buggy sh!tty software.

I managed to fix my WhatsApp notification issue. I did factory reset and did everything again and it seems to work. Now the OS doesn't deny WhatsApp to access contacts in the background.

Just got my 10x 5g delivered from Taobao last week. Beautiful phone and build quality for this price. Installed Google apps easily through the Getapps store. However, I've not been getting my Whatsapp (and other chat apps) notification after the phone screen is off as it seems MIUI shuts of the notifications. I've turned Autostart on and Battery saver to no restrictions but still do not get my notifications until I log into the home screen.

Also in the specs while this phone is Widevine L1 certified and after sideloading nexflix it still works only on SD on HD available. Netflix apps setting shows only L3 certification.
