hi..i'm suspecting that my system32 registry is corrupted. my problem started with my pc suddenly unable to play sounds of any kind. i tried troubleshooting audio playback and i received a C:\windows\system32\msdt.exe error so thinking it's a registry fault i next tried system file checker tool SFC.exe as an administrator and i got a C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe error. so i decided to try a repair install with my windows 7 disc and lo and behold the disc wouldn't run. so i am at my wits end here and would greatly appreciate any kind of help from bros here or maybe u can just recommend me any reputable and trustworthy repair shop at sim lim...many thnx

It could be due to virus than all that you thought.

Any BSOD encountered? What was the error when you tried with the disc?
