and rough gauge of price?

Just wondering has anyone tried hilos before? Contacted him some time back but he refused to take in my camera, reason being he is busy.. I'm willing to wait but he rejected the job.

whats wrong with your camera anyway? at least he's upfront informing you he's busy..

Any idea if it can still be cleaned because the growth is inside the lens and not on the exterior?

that is the problem....you'll need to disassemble your lens to get to beneath the front lens element.
you'll probably just have to bring it to a camera repair shop for a quote.
the fungi might have damaged the glass... also, since your lens should be kitlens......it might not be worth it to clean it. maybe it's time to upgrade to a better lens.

That lease is not expensive so any repairs would need to be worth compared to buying new.

Most importantly is whether the image quality is affected at F3.5 and toll F11.
