Replacement motherboard recommendation

Hi

I am currently using the Asrock Z68 Pro3 mobo with 2600k processor. Recently bought a graphics card and realized that it cannot be detected (Seems to be an Asrock bug). Since the warranty period is over, I was thinking to get a new mobo.

Which mobo would be compatible such that I do not need to change my processor and RAM etc? Thanks

did you plug in the additional power connector to the graphics card? it's odd to hear compatibility issue on a relatively new.board.

Thanks coyote for picking that out. Didn't notice the power connector and didn't suspect anything was wrong as the fan was running.

However, after connecting the power to graphics card, the screen is blank. To cut the long story short, I reset the pc a few times which caused my ssd to be wiped clean. Now I am trying to reinstall os, but any idea why the booting and post failed? My psu is fsp group 600w, running 3 hdd. Based on what I see online, psu should be sufficient.

Fail POST can either be RAM or GPU not seated properly. Try reseat RAM and boot with onboard video. If OK, work on the GPU. Off the main switch when doing reseating.

Thanks Peter,guess it was the graphics card as it became ok without touching the RAM.

After reinstalling the OS and using the graphics card, there is still a slight problem. The shutting down seems to take longer (Like the fans are powered down after a time lag) while the booting up succeeds after multiple tries. Ie: The fans power up, but there is no POST beeping sound then the fans power down. This happens for like 3 times before the PC starts. Then there is the error msg that boot failed, do you want to start UEFI?

Can the graphics card be causing this issue too?
