Require Suggestions for CPU parts

Hi all, I recently decided to try customising my CPU by sourcing for various parts for myself. I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions of the various parts I should get. My budget is around $2000 - $3000. I usually just use my com for gaming purposes. So preferably looking some specs that can support latest games at high graphics ^^

@FatalityV: My $2000 - $3000 budget is not including peripherals. Although it would be greatly appreciated if you could give me a costing for those you recommend as well ^^ I am currently looking at playing DAI and Civilisation Beyond Earth - preferably on the highest possible resolution.

I think u should be able to game both game on max @ 1080p

For DAI the game is not out yet so no benchmark..but from its requirement and engine use for the game the gtx970 should be able to handle it ~
