I think it legit but the profit margin they charge is pretty high.

Everything done at insurer office.

Yeah, I think it is legal since you are taking over an insurance policy that someone quit.. I think I will make an appointment with one of the REP reseller to find out the charges..Otherwise from the list of available policies available for investment, the yield is great and safer compare to many corporate bonds listed locally.

Yeah, I think Reps holding is the largest REP locally and there are another 5 companies that deal with REP .I will talk to them as well.

Actually , I think u have to be careful about the yield u get quoted. Because the yield includes both guaranteed and non guaranteed. I tried asking them over the phone to break down the two but they want me to go down to meet them , so I didn't bother.

Anyway, I'm saying non guaranteed portion is just fluff to me and I don't know what projected return they use , 3.25% or 4.75%
.....most likely 4.75% to market it..

Maybe u can share with me when u know...I didn't bother wasting my time and invested in corp bonds instead. More transparent

One way to cut out the middleman is to find friends or relatives who want to give up their policies and u just pay out their Surrender value and they sign the policy over to you. REP takes a fairly big cut for matching buyer vs seller.

Maybe u can check Carousel to see if anyone wanna sell.

The earliest maturity is 7 years away with a 3.7 to 4.2 yield in REP list.....hmm...

They are making too much margin..go direct!!
