restore backup to iphone 6

my iphone 6+ was not able to restore the backup from iphone 5

it gives me an error say that my backup was corrupted or incompatible. but the thing is both are on same os. . whats the issue?

can i check if u upgrade your os7 in ip5 to os8 then backup then restore using with ip6?

also what is the size of your ip5 and new ip6?

Asking because i have certain apps that seems to already disappear in app store and only way to continue using them is thru backup and restore (do correct me if i am wrong).

and my existing ip5 is 32gb...ip6 is 16gb...can i try to delete lots of stuff till i am sure a ip6 16gb can take in all the apps despite phone size is different?

Yes I upgraded ios7 to 8 on my ip5. My ip5 is 32gb, ip6+ 64gb. U should backup to iTunes, able to transfer to your ip6.

On the capacity, you have to see whether backup or your app took up the most spaces. Can see in iTunes Oso when u backup. Then u calculate from there?

if you backup and restore from your laptop, shld be ok bah
if restore from cloud, not sure

took the risk by upgrading ip5 os then backup and restore via itunes...phew...obsolete apps still able to function and backup can be transfer to ip6 too. thanks for the responses though.

so if one don't work, the other still works
