Retrieve data on dead HDD - recommendation needed

Dear All,

I have a dead hard disk and i need to retrieve the information inside. I think it was due to me using it on a media player and unplugging it without turning off the power and some lead file is lost thus making it unreadable.

Any kind soul have any idea where i can get the information extracted? And roughly how much it will cost me?
