** This is a personal review of the Elementcase Soft-tec casing for the iphone 5/5s and is in no way sponsored by anyone or any shop. In short, i bought this directly from Elementcase itself.
The Elementcase Soft-tec casing for the iphone 5 have been around for quite some time. This is a new series of casing from Elementcase, and the iphone 5/5s mark the first casing from this series. Even though it is designed specially for the iphone 5, current iphone 5s have no problem fitting since there are min changes between the 2 phones.

The Box itself.
When you open up the box you will see the full glory of the casing.
Items included: The Soft-tec casing, Elementcase lanyard, one fiber cloth for cleaning, one screen protector and one hard card for you to remove air pocket. Oh ya.... and the instruction guide. =D

When you open up the casing, you will see 2 card slots. This casing only support up to 2x cards. It's a bit tight fitting when you put in 2 cards but it is very secure and there is no way the cards will drop out. For me, i slot in my ezlink card and a credit card. When you close, there will be a "ta" sound, due to the magnetic closure and this will let you know you have properly closed the flip.
From clock wise, the right side of the casing with easy access to the sim card tray. The left side of the casing with the silent/volume buttons exposed. No issue accessing both bottons. The top of the casing with the power button exposed and also no problem pressing the on/off switch. Bottom of the casing with the headphone jack, lightning connector exposed. No problem using my sony xba-2 earpiece. This casing slot nicely into my belkin desktop charger.
Back of the casing. No problem for the camera cut-out on the iphone 5s.
At the side of the casing are 2 holes for you to hang your lanyards. With the casing closed and using the lanyard i try to swing the phone around and the flip didn't even open. It's quite secure.
Elementcase branding on the magnetic closure.
The Tech-grip material on this casing is very soft and nice to touch and it give a very premium look. It didn't make the overall size feel big and since there are texture on the surface, it is not slippy to hold. Color combination can't go wrong with black outside and red inside. The hard tough shell that house your iphone "should" protect your phone from knocks and drops. The shell feels very tough, cover in matte black and i have no problem accessing everything on the phone.
Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. I started out using viva madrid flip casing on my ip5 before going full power support and spigen for both ip5 and 5s. When Elementcase first launch this casing, it was love at first sight for me. But the shipping kills @ USD30 for anything less than USD99 purchase from Elementcase site. Only until recently last week where there was a black friday sales and Elementcase did a free shipping on anything in their site. I just knew i have to get this.
2 complains i have are, i wish there was another slot for me to house my cash. It will be the best flip housing casing for me. I can just bring out this with one ezlink card, one credit card and cash with my phone all in one. Nevertheless, this is still a great casing to have and use. Also, due to the magnetic closure flip, one hand operation to open the flip to access the phone might be hard for some people.
I will give it a 8.5/10 rating.
You can purchase this casing directly from Elementcase site @ USD49.90. But anything less than USD99.99 at Elementcase will carry a shipping fee of USD30. Not really worth it IMO so it is best if you can find promo code or share shipping with other people.
