Whoops another mistake...

The M12-P connected to my mobo directly maxes out at 1850 rpm according to HWM.

So... I guess all of my fans are 'cold' then...

@repel: The noise is definitely much less irritating than the Excaliburs which got motor sound. The M12-P basically is like hearing wind.

If you are interested in getting FC5v2, better contact edwin ASAP. This batch only 8 coming in, 5 are reserved for RMA (The first batch all kenna faulty LCD, kept hanging lol), 1 is reserved for another buyer. So left 2 only.

Ah, the world is so small lol.

the FC5v2 will be coming in tmr. I'll be waiting for edwin to give a confirmation that it's indeed FC5v2 (I'm still skeptical about it) before rmaing mine.

Will be interested in the result of your testing as well :)

DIY: Fan clips for Venomous X to enable mounting of M12-P

Kk, this is a short guide to those who have Venomous X and want to mount the M12-P, but like me want to save the extra money to get fan clips.

P1050469.jpg

First u get a ordinary paper clip, try to get the big one instead of the small triangle one.

Secondly, open the bend the clip outwards twice to get picture 3.

Thirdly, Snip of the side of the paper clip, so that u get picture 4.

Lastly, bend the clip inwards to get the final product.

How it looks when mounted. Note that u need to do 4 of these paper clips mod for each side. OR 2x4 if u intend to mount 2 fans.

Hope its helpful!!

nice. I'm still thinking of a mod to put 120mm fans into 80mm slots... the paper clips will be a good starting point.

I got the Noiseblocker at 1500rpm with the rubberised screws (anti-vibration pegs) and I also can't get them into the holes just like page 1 of the thread. Can someone help?

Without the rubber pegs and using regular screws, the sound is a little bit more noticeable than my Scythe Kama-flex at 1500rpm.
