Rig Recommendation and Advice

Hello to all seniors,

My computer of 5 years died recently and I need to get a new rig. Will be using the rig mainly for casual gaming (civ series, tropico series). Need to edit photos using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop frequently. Not doing any video editing.

Requirement for the setup is to be able to output to two 1440p monitor. Currently using the Dell U2713hm. May want to output Netflix 4K or other 4K videos on my 4K TV.

My budget is around $1700~$1800

Recently found out about M.2 SSD and decided to give it a try. Hence the choice of the mobo and SSD.

Does the following setup make sense?

Don't use m.2 NVMe for the moment. It's still pretty expensive currently. The gain you get from the speed is not notable unless you run/render very large files like 4k rendering. The motherboard I've chosen have 2x m.2 PCIe based slot nonetheless, in case you wanna add them in the future.

GPU get from online cheaper. It's just plug and play, so you can ask the shop to route the pcie power cable first so you can plug in the gpu yourself at home.

i5-7500 have better priceerformance ratio. Hence, would recommend to go for 7500, 7600 is not worth the upgrade though. Do google some info about this if you wished.

If you don't mind 2nd hand, quite a number of < 6 months old GPU at carousell due to GTX 1080 TI release. Do check it out if you're interested in saving more.

wah this kind of requirement quite heavy gpu intensive though i did suggest if u can afford to pay abit more will be either a GTX 1080 or 1080 ti. but for 4k nextflix on a kabylake processor can do that. but other 4k videos 1080 and 1080ti should be able to handle.

If its just two 1440p then a single 1070 GTX is fine for gaming as you will only game on one screen.

I use a 2 screen setup and two screens together are only used when I am using using Abelton Live for recording music.

1080 and 1080 ti only makes sense when you have a 4k monitor.

Now if its 3 1440p monitor and you want to run nvidia surround then gtx1080 or 1080 ti would be more suited. Now if you want to run nvidia 3d vision surround then maybe 1080 sli is needed.

This is my video from 4 years ago.. Running 1080p 2d surround with a single GTX 680. I dont run this setup now as 3 monitors is a hassle.
