Hi bros,

Have a 3+ year old rig that I'm intending to upgrade to play games that I could not run eg BF4 and other upcoming titles like dragon age.

Have identified the following items to upgrade:
Gpu- MSI GTX 970
Ram- upgrade to 8gb
Ssd- currently have a 128gb but hope to add on a further 250gb one as I'm running out of ssd space
Psu - currently using a 500w Psu.

Any recommendations for the upgrade? Am I missing out on more stuff?

Thanks in advance!

Looks good. Can consider the Crucial MX100 256GB SSD for a cheap upgrade.
Thanks bro.

Quick question - is there a big difference between the Seasonic M12II 620w and superflower leadex 650w? Would these suffice for the new power requirements?

A lot. We are talking about a 80+ Bronze PSU (Seasonic M12II 620w) against a 80+ Gold PSU (SuperFlower Leadex 650w). Both PSUs brands are some of the best OEMs in the PSU market.

Both PSUs are more than enough for your upgrade. In fact, the GTX 970 can actually be run safely with a 500W PSU as it is very power efficient thanks to the Maxwell architecture.

Thanks for the advice! Am a noob at this.

Was advised to upgrade my 500W PSU as it may not be sufficient for the GTX970 so I'm not very sure if the upgrade is actually necessary.
