Hi, require to get a large size rimowa for my upcoming holiday. Went to the local store and was offered 10% discount due to GSS. Would UK,Spain or Italy be significantly cheaper? I know germany is the cheapest but not going there this trip. Koffer has also stopped shipping to SG. Thanks alot.

Been using a sub $100 latch type luggage from OG. Just me but I found that by not checking in my luggage super early or just before gate close, high chance your luggage will be in middle or near the end of cargo bay thus padded by other bags.

IMHO it's not where the luggage is places, but rather how the baggage handling people throw and kick your luggage around.

During US trips, my luggage always come back with dirt (probably kicked around cos too heavy lol), or with bent handles or broken wheels. It's pure bo chup ness attitude. Horrifying.

Actually very simple with that. The handlers not supposed to use the luggage handle so another thing I now do at airport is when wrap the luggage, i tell them not to cut holes for the handles and to completely wrap the wheels as well. Bring to bag drop using airport trolley. So far no airport has said cannot do this. Biggest damage to luggage supposedly are the luggage pushers that box your luggage to the correct flight the luggage conveyer.

Hi,
UK is quite expensive when you consider with our exchange rate. Yes, German is cheaper and so is Italy. I have communicated with Italy store via emails, I doubt they ship internationally. Also you will subject to GST when ships over.

Hi, thanks a lot guys. SG current price is 1498sgd after discount while koffer online price before shipping is 1100sgd. However I'm quite worried about the delivery timing as I am not going to stay more than 3days at each city.

Hi, 3 days seem to be ok but 5 days is safe. When I checked with them it takes 5 days to ship to London, but too bad they don't have the stock for the size I want. In fact, in another thread, if you are departing from Frankfurt, there is Rimowa shop.

No time to use the wrap and it's a nightmare to unwrap, not to mention environmentally very unfriendly
I'll just have to use my crappy luggage for US trips

Not really if reach airport earlier. Unwrapping is simply trolley it to any customer service centre for a scissors or penknife. Can put the wrapping into the nearest plastic recycle bin.
