saw one in relatively good condition which is 10% cheaper than grey.

another one with visible scratches on bracelet and fine ones on case about 20% cheaper than grey.

now contemplating which to get or get from grey

just look see look see lor, sometimes out of the blue u can catch a good deal especially now is pandemic times, some might wanna dispose for quick cash.

i snagged one pretty good deal SBGR097 last yr, the seller was asking 2k+ only, i was like unbelievable and i chionged down his house in 30mins.

what's the retail price?

was discontinued for quite some time already, limited edition, the dial is quite special and most importantly quite uncommon...it has no date.

Both brands are reliable and good quality.

But Rolex hold value better.

Rolex is becoming like a Jewelry watch. Even seeing women wear now. Most buy because it appreciates in value or to show off. When I talk to them, probably 50% truly appreciate watches

Grand Seiko is different though. When I see one wearing, I am 80% 90% sure this guy likely know how to appreciate watches and their movement / watchmaking quality - not so much about showing off or to “invest”.

Anyway, I have both. Used to like Rolex when younger, but after many years , don’t need to say which brand I prefer now.
