Hi guys...

I have been running 2.4 km every day for 3 consecutive days and 1 day off and the cycle continues again. 3 days run, 1 day off. I clocked about 12 mins + for each run. I have been doing it for the past 2 weeks.

Just thinking whether it is bad for the body? Is this running routine any good?

try looking at the supercompensation theory. what is your goal fo running 2.4km? ippt? if that so you can do interval training like 400mx 8 with 1min 30 sec per lap and 1m rest.

Do it for ippt training and physical fitness. If it's HIIT, should I be doing it everday?

I guess this would be a VO2 max training. Runners World magazine says not recommended to do this type of training more than once per week.

.

I think if you're able to achieve that. Gold timing 2.4. confirm.

8 rounds consistently with 1 min 30secs work/1 min rest.

I already feel like vomitting after 6 rounds of 1 min 40/45.

I learn something new. I run three times a week with 4 km for each run.

I might be running more than TS.

6 x 2.4 = 14.4 km (1st week)

5 x 2.4 = 12 km (2nd week)

2 weeks = 26.4 km

3 x 4km = 12 km

6 x 4 km = 24 km

If you want to improve timing , speed work is important. DO interval like the rest has suggested.

Keep running 2.4km will only progress slowly

This is similar to what we were taught during OCS. After training that way, I hit my personal best.

Also, once you have done that for a while, you can switch up to 800m x 4 with 3 mins per lap and 1 min 30 sec rest.

3x of 20min run per wk with rest days in between is better..

U can still run 2.4km for 12min, after which u continue for at least another 8min

Incorporate sprinting in your regular runs, slowly extending the distance.
