RX 470 unable to post.

Hi guys just checking, i recently just got a rx 470 for my cousin for his pc, due to gpu spoil, but now after buying the new gpu and test it, it also cant work in his and mine pc. but i have checked some forum and some say need to update the bios.

so here is the build:

i5 2500 + Asrock Z68 Pro3
CoolerMaster 550W
HD 6950 (Previously working, but spoiled)
500GB segate HDD
8GB kingston ram.

anyone using sandy bridge can work with such system?

BIOS is UEFI or legacy? I think polaris cards are UEFI compatible only. So if the BIOS is old, grabbing the UEFI update that toggles between both might help.

hi thanks for the reply the bios is both UFEI and legacy. beside that both can be use though bios is ufei, rom select by default is legacy.

but over this week trying to install RX 470 driver on Biostar TA790GX A3+ but unable to detect the driver for RX 470.

even i did use manual install with the latest driver also cant work.

anyway here are the specs:

AMD PII X4 955 BE + Biostar TA790GX A3+
MSI Gaming RX 470 4GB
Corsair 120GB SSD
WD Blue 500GB
Anydson 550W Sliver psu (cant remember the model)
4GB ram.

so may I ask did anyone tried to install on those AMD 790GX chipset mobo or older and newer a tier of this chipset?

things i have done : DDU but pc just install witha Standard VGA adapater.
checked with AMD support, they say probably is bios (but the bios of the maker only have 2 (but used the other one, their latest bios only helps in achi)

Windows 7 32bits. but i will try searching the catalog as well.
