If problem not solved, drop me a pm. I have a spare ram and gpu for you to try. Sometimes could be due to gpu, that the system work but nothing shows up. I don't mind heading to yishun as my friend stay nearby only, though I stay at east.

Something I didn't try was that I didn't resit the cpu, which I did today. Same thing happens. The funny thing now if that when I tried to run the motherboard without the cpu, all the Qled are all off. I did expect the cpu light to be lited.

Earlier today, Asus support also reply me to go to their support center to check after the things I already done to check, but added that the cost are on me unless I go to their site in US ( yeah right...). I will probably give it till this weekend. Need to hurry abit. I might still be able to return it back to amazon.

If it's the motherboard, should I try another mobo from amazon? The headache is I couldn't find my ram on any of the mobo QVL as yet.

Just get a piece of ram from the qvl list. 80% or more of the problems you described are likely to be due to incompatible ram.

Unfortunately incompatible of ram is probably the most likely cause. Had manage to borrow a pair of gskill ram and it manage to bootup. Updating the bios didn't work and corsair has ask me to send the ram to them. If they return the ram and fail, I guess my next move would be to sell the cpu and motherboard to recoup cost

i think there is no such thing as 'incompatible ram'....unless u insert DDR3 to DDR4 mobo........

Those 'incompatible' most likely has something to do with the rated speed and timings or the factory oc rated speed and timings......

unless things changed over the years which I neh play ram for donkey years since 2012....

That's what I thought going into the purchase. I was too taken in by the comments on amazon, in that it work for their ryzen platform. This is what they replied me yesterday;


We do understand for your situation. However, the BIOS update it will be more stable for compatible hardware. As in your inquiry about RAM, if the RAM specification is not listed in the QVL list, we do apologize that it might not be compatible with the motherboard.

I guess will have to wait for the results of the rma.... Although I really need to get the system up. Maybe I should just get another pair of rams and call it a day, then wait for the system to pay for itself and get TR, which was the whole reason why I went for a 4 piece kit in the 1st place ( The ram is listed in x399 Prime A QVL)

If the RAM is not in the QVL it will still work, but only at default 2133 and default voltage stable. Overclocks on the RAM would not have been tested yet.

cud it be the default is 1T & the board could not find stability can't pass POST?
with the good ram, he cud have tried setting it to 2T before troubleshooting with bad ram... but even it works, still need to xchange rams, else everytime load bios default settings cannot boot

Have you plug in the 4pin power plug for CPU power?

Any suggestion on ram for the motherboard? Ive look at Fuwell and cybermind price list and didn't really see any of the ram that's 2x16gb that is listed in the qvl. Don't want to drop to 16gb as I'm already maxing it on my rig quite often already

think someone asked if u managed to flash latest bios.
anyway, try to disconnect and reseat this 4+4 pin and the 24pin, ka-ka push them especially the cpu socket.
test with minimum hardware connections. how abt your display cable, did u try using another cable, and also to be sure not to connect the into the wrong port

Yes. I manage to borrow another ram last week and was able to bootup to bios. I had update the bios version after it bootup from my friend ram but it refuse to work on my ram. Asus support says the ram is not in their qvl list and will not guarantee it will work even at stock speed. I have send the ram back to corsair a few days ago and waiting for it to reach their rma office

Ur monitor Vga/HDMI plug to gpu or motherboard?

Try plug in gpu and have a try.
