S-View Won't Work After Restarting Device

errm nope, even when i restart the phone, the booting animation on the samsung logo was being minimized and displayed on the s-view cover.

i switching off is minimized logo but switch on no have leh idk why also then it doesn't work till i re sit the case

hmm, then im not sure whats the problem with that. Maybe the chip is dirty or loose, try cleaning it.

For the Samsung S-View, where did you bought it?
Cos there are 2 versions, one is true original from samsung with 3 mths warranty, the next one is the pirated s-view from pasar malam which the s-view is also able to work,

Bought it online like you, having the same problem. It should be a faulty cover. Changed it and problem solved.

oh no wonder, it might be the original cloned version.
Which costs around $20 - $30.

The real original price is around $58 - $88 selling at retail shops around Singapore

i have the same problem, bought online. While i am contacting the seller, who claimed its 100% official case (Though i am not sure whats the behavior of the original case or whether the one i am holding is fake or faulty), at least i find a workaround without removing the case and reinstalling it while the device is running. i.e.,

Method 1: S-view recovery
i) Shutdown the device
ii) Start the device with the s-view cover open/closed.
This detects the s-view and bring up the s-view.

Method 2: Restart-working (s-view working)
i) After you push the 'restart' option, close the lid, you will see samsung logo on s-view
ii) Keep the lid closed, you will again see the samsung logo aon s-view window, so it works.

Method 3: Restart (s-view not working)
However if you keep i) the lid closed while shutdown & keep the lid open while booting, it doesn't work. You can recover by following method 1 (OR) Method 4

Method 4: S-view recovery
Another funny behavior is, even if s-view doesn't work, press the power-button while the lid is closed, the power menu options come up in s-view window, then, either i follow Method 2 or Method 3, s-view worked.

If you happened to re-produce, please post me, perhaps, either it is faulty case or seller magic

FYI - to all 3rd party S-View cover owners, after NOTE 3 lastest software update done - do power down your NOTE 3 & after few seconds with S-View cover close ... power on your NOTE 3. Definitely everything will work fine now.
