A VEH refers to armoured vehicles like Bionix, Terrex, Leopard and the like, >15 tons weight I suppose.

May have to go outfield in recovery vehicles and also have personal wep and veh-mounted wep.

The last I know, maintenance crew heading outfield to support armour unit missions do not receive combat pay, even though they have to bear arms (both personal and veh mounted GPMG) and wear vest etc. Not sure about now, 2 years after though.

Personally speaking from my experiences interacting with the workshop folks during my time as BX operator.

Not sure about now but we called it Only Eat Talk Idle back when it was at Ayer Rajah Camp. Apart from being posted to Thailand, it was the next best part of my NS life

Yup last time in Ayer Rajah days it was really heaven.

Nice location, stay out on the entire course (except when kenna guard duty), aircon classrooms.

Was a electronics spec tech last time.

And last time all techs with A lvl and diploma will automatically promoted to 3SG eventually but now no more. also a selected few with leadership potentials will attend the leadership course (not sure if it is the same as SCS) and get the 3SG rank while the others will be capped at CFC the most. Also heard that nowadays OETI is stay in after moving to Kranji Camp 3.

Pes A/B - 3 months course, stay out
Pes C - 1 month stay in, POC, 3 months stay out

No outfield while training. Once posted to unit then may or may not have. A Veh unit most likely will be 1 AMB at gedong.
