The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 and Flip7 FE are expected to launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold7 at Samsung Unpacked on July 9 and Evan Blass shared a new set of renders for the two flip foldables, giving us our best look yet.

Galaxy Z Flip7 is shown in Jet Black, Blue Shadow and Coral Red, which are expected to be the three official colour options. Samsung is also likely to launch exclusive colour options through Samsung.com, but we don’t get any info on those for now.

The big design change with the Z Flip7 is its updated cover screen, which now encompasses the entire area with the only cutouts for the two cameras and the LED flash. Based on rumors, the Flip7 is getting a 4-inch Super AMOLED cover screen, up from the 3.4-inch panel on its predecessor.

Speaking of the Z Flip6, the upcoming Flip7 FE is basically a carbon copy of that device, featuring the same basic design and the 3.4-inch folder-shaped cover screen. Flip7 FE will be available in less flashy Black and White colors.

Both phones are rumored to launch with Samsung’s Exynos 2500 which was just unveiled earlier today.

Galaxy Z Flip FE specs is leaked

Leak claims to reveal Galaxy Z Flip FE specifications​

the Galaxy Z Flip FE will have the same display as the Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, its brightness may be limited to 1,900 nits. It will reportedly use the same Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) used in the Galaxy Z Flip 6 for the foldable screen's protection.

Samsung could also use the same flat Armor Aluminum frame, hinge, and Gorilla Glass Victus used in the Galaxy Z Flip 6 for the Galaxy Z Flip FE. The phone could have a 50MP primary camera and a 10MP selfie camera. It could use an Exynos chip (most likely Exynos 2500), Wi-Fi 6E, and 25W fast charging.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 leaks in CAD-based renders​

The renders claims the Flip7 will measure 166.6 x 75.2 x 6.9 mm when unfolded (9.1 mm thick with the camera bumps). This means the device will be ever so slightly taller, much wider, and the same thickness as its predecessor.

The added size is there to accommodate larger screens - 6.8" on the inside and 3.6" on the outside. The Flip7 will still have just two main cameras, a 50 MP main one and a 12 MP ultrawide. Apparently we could be getting upgraded sensors compared to the Flip6, even though the resolutions are the same.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7's edge-to-edge cover display confirmed in One UI 8 leak​

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 should bring the next – and likely last – evolution, an edge-to-edge screen. Here are some renders dug out from a leaked One UI 8 firmware by Android Authority:

The Galaxy Z Flip7 will reportedly have a larger 6.85” inner display, up from 6.7” on the Z Flip6. The Z Flip7 reportedly will measure 166.6 x 75.2 x 6.9mm when unfolded, making it wider than the Z Flip6, which is 165.1 x 71.9 x 6.9mm. This, combined with the much thinner side bezels, promises a huge upgrade for the cover display. Meanwhile, the Z Fold7 will be super slim, going down from 5.6mm to 3.9mm unfolded.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7 and Z Flip7 FE certified in Indonesia​

There are three models – the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 (SM-F766B) and its new affordable companion, the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE (SM-F761B), and the flagship Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 (SM-F966B).

As for the flips, the Galaxy Z Flip7 will be powered by Exynos 2500, while the cheaper FE model will get the older Exynos 2400. And it seems that the US isn’t getting a pass this time and will get an Exynos-powered Z Flip7. The Z Fold7 will probably use the Snapdragon 8 Elite globally, though. By the way, Samsung has officially confirmed that the new One UI 8 will debut with the new foldables (though an open beta is already available for the S25 models).

Another confirmation: Samsung will release a cheaper Galaxy Z Flip​

The moniker has been whispered in leaks and rumors before, but this is the closest we ever got to an official confirmation. If there was still any doubt, the NBTC certification more or less confirms that Samsung's cheaper foldable phone will go on sale as the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.

Although the recent NBTC certificate doesn't say much else about the phone, everyone expects the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE to look similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which has a folder-shaped cover screen. Meanwhile, the non-FE Galaxy Z Flip 7 could bring a refreshed design with a larger cover display — one that incorporates the phone's two main cameras.
Exactly how much cheaper the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will be than the standard Z Flip 7 remains to be seen. For reference, the most recent slab-type Fan Edition phone, the Galaxy S24 FE, costs $150 less than the base Galaxy S25 model.

Leaked info shows that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 will be widely available in three colors: Jet Black, Blue Shadow and Coral Red. Traditionally, there are a few additional colors that are available exclusively through Samsung.com (those have not leaked yet). The first leaked official images of the phone offer a better look at what a couple of those colors will look like.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 dimensions leak again​

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 are expected to launch as the brand’s slimmest and lightest foldable phones next week. Ahead of the big announcement, leakster Setsuna Digital shared some preliminary dimensions for both devices.

In related news, Evan Blass shared additional official-looking renders for Samsung's upcoming foldable, showing off their updated slim designs.

Galaxy Z Flip7 will come in at 13.7mm folded and 6.5mm unfolded while weighing 188 grams. These dimensions would make Z Flip7 the undisputed slimmest flip foldable to date.
