My Samsung Note 4 keeps rebooting itself. After power on, it would reboot after 5s and does so continuously.
I have replaced with a new battery and still the problem.
How much would it cost to get the phone fixed?
And where I go for the repair?
Seriously would discourage u from seeking repairs, as repairing an old model would set u back hefty repair costs. A used korean note 4 (albeit with burn-ins, used and weak battery) cost only $79 in qoo10, even lesser with coupons. I recently bought one to play with it.
If you want to self help and check if its salvageable, do the following:
1) Press and hold these 3 buttons (Power, volume DOWN and home buttons) for 5 secs. When u see a warning sign, press volume up button. This is to enter the download mode of the phone. Let it stay there for 5 minutes to see if it auto-reboots on its own.
if it did not reboot, power off it by pressing and holding the power button until the phone turns off.
2) Press and hold these 3 buttons (Power, volume UP and home buttons) for 5 secs. It should boot to the recovery mode of the phone. Let it stay there for 5 minutes to see if it auto-reboots on its own.
If either of these 2 cases, the phone still reboots on its own, the motherboard/hardware is faulty and its best to get a new phone. If it did not, the phone may be saved. We can proceed to other troubleshooting.
Hope to hear the results from you again.
