Samsung S4 connecting kies problem

I'm a MBP user. Tried connecting S4 via Kies. It was alright initially but thereafter it is on Connecting mode and will not connect.

Will appreciate any help on that.

search the s3 thread. kies is finicky with both win and mac os.

Thats the only reason stopping me from getting the S4. Bought the S3 when it launched and sold it the next day.

it shouldn't.

Over the air updates and google cloud sync and external SD card means you rarely ever would need to sync to PC once you've got everything set up. You'd need a micro-sd USB adapter but these things are readily available.

Kies SUCK to someone with a rooted phone and stock deodexed rom. I thinks it should work well if your phone is stock and unmodified (rooted)

Do a google for Kies alternative or "my phone explorer" a freeware prog for exploring Symbian or Android based devices. Been using since I got the motorcyclerola atrix and went back to it after realizing how crap kies is.

It also gives you the ability to explore the applications installed on your phone via the PC and allows you to list and save it as a word, excel, openoffice or html doc.

The dev is worth supporting IMHO.
