The video shows the 29-year-old creator – famed for VFX-driven videos featuring Hollywood celebrities including Paul Rudd, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Cruise – visiting iconic attractions such as Jewel Changi Airport and Marina Bay, with dramatically angled shots seamlessly blending digital effects and the real world.

Winner of Ultimate VFX Challenge in Los Angeles.

Interestingly end up Malaysians more upset than (any) Singaporeans on the STB video. Glass hearts everywhere 😏

What is so upsetting about this video? Quite interesting?

Some Malaysians upset STB paid their talent to do a tourism piece about Sg. . .

One commenter even asked why he didn't do up a Malaysia showcase even if not paid by Msia govt.. lolz

Went through someone of his other videos. Effort sia.

not sure why or what they're sore about

Their idea of patriotism is interesting. 😂

Yeah. I also think the editing of this video takes serious effort.

I guess this video gives this chap some international marketing exposure now. :o

That one is Work Permit for performing artist doing live performance, like KTV singers, dancers, etc. Nothing to do with this.

However, netizens from Malaysia, already familiar with his prowess as a digital creator, were not as impressed. "Should promote Malaysia bro [sic]," said an Instagram user.

"After all this time [sic] he got awards here and there, didn't he bring the Malaysian name? What's wrong with you? What are you doing to make Malaysia proud? Weak," commented another.

Others recognised that it was a commercial collaboration, and felt Sofyank should have been offered a similar opportunity at home.
