Hi all. I have a SD card that has missing files. Videos taken using a camera are not found in the card when I check on PC.

Is there any way or any place that can recover these videos?

If you connect the camera to the PC using a USB cable, sometimes the SD card may appear to be empty or unformatted. If this is the case, the first thing you should try is to take out the SD card and put it into a SD card reader.

If your camera has Dropbox or other cloud backup, you can try looking for the files there.

If not, you can try chkdsk /f /x s: from the command prompt (replace s: with the drive letter of your SD card reader) to try and repair the SD card. This might work if the problem is only in the file structure and the data itself has not been corrupted.

Finally, if you are using an SD card bought at a bargain basement price, it is possible that the card's actual capacity is much less than that advertised, in which case the video files will not be recoverable.

Ermm, tried the 2 methods. Couldn't locate any missing files.
Bought the SD card at PC show.
