To eat this type of live freshwater prawns in Singapore, you can either:

a. go prawning. but expensive and sometimes can go back empty handed

b. go to Turf city. After 50% discount, the prawns still cost a whopping $82/kg!!

That's why when in Bangkok, it is good to enjoy this prawn there because it is abundant and cheap. Except for the giant ones like those shown in this website:
