Noticed 2 issues so far since my purchase at recent IT Show (end-Feb 2014):-
1. Device stays on i.e. the disk keeps spinning and never goes to sleep
2. For some reason, it suddenly stops recognising my user and password and now refuses to let me log into the web management page. Tried to reset (followed instructions on Seagate's web-site) but the reset button seems to do nothing. A google search shows that many users have the same issue i.e. unable to reset password.
For (1), my work-around is just to switch off at the mains when i don't intend to use for a long period but not sure if repeated on-off without spinning down will damage the drive
For (2), if anyone has a solution, please post here. Thks
