it is still hybrid HDD (SSHD)nothing new tho :)
if u dont have SSD this is close to it and u might consider this.........but transfer files will be great as it is faster
cheaper than SSD but faster than HDD
SEAGATE im using it 500gb for 7yrs and now with 3tb so far no problem so i trust the brand :s13::s13:

If Seagate has international warranty, then it is worth paying more for the 5-year warranty.

seagate 3tb have highest reported failure rate by users on amazon ....
not worth it even if very small $20 sing dollars difference from 2tb

2tb itself also have abnormal failures but can be classified into 2 different catergory .... 2 platter (2x 1tb) and 3 platter (3x 0.67tb) drive ........ the 0.67tb platter is blamed for the failures
users started to cherrypick the 2 platter drives and seagate removed the obvious reference in serial number ....... now only can tell the good drives by how deep the groove ontop .....
. example the top pic firecuda ... the C shaped groove at top right corner is shallow ....... from 1 look can tell it consist of 3x 0.67 platter

im using it right now so i cant report it is as a failure HDD as it dont give me any issue and i used to have 500gb that can last me 7yrs and i dont think it is a bad brand if it can last that long.SEAGATE would shut down if their product is total failure....users vs review up to TS to decide.

The difference between a good product and a bad product is

Bad product has a failure rate of 10%

Good product has a failure rate of 1%
