Hiya forum,

Looking to upgrade from my dying 5 year rig. Hope I can get some advice on the parts I have chosen. Although I would like to go a little crazy on this build, but hopefully budget can be around $1000. Main use will be gaming.

i5 7600K + ASROCK B250M PRO 4
Kingston Hyper X Fury 16GB x 1
Samsung 850 EVO M.2 500GB SSD x 1
Phantek P400 TG Casing

Will be reusing my Seasonic 660W, ASUS Strix 970, Crucial M4 120GB SSD, Hitachi 500GB HDD. Probably Windows will be on the 500GB SSD.

Will the 7600K be needing a external cooler fan on it?

- if u are buying overclocking cpu, u must use Z270 motherboard , or else cannot overclock.
- u already have 120gb ssd, why buy another 500gb ssd?
- memory buy at least 2 dimms
- u need cpu cooler if u are overclocking
- do u really like asrock motherboard? i think asus better.

You will certainly need a cooler because the "K" series Intel CPUs don't come with a cooler. If you don't overclock, I recommend just going for 7600 if you want to get an Intel processor.

So for i5 7600 I can just get a z170 mobo? Which would be a good mobo?

Also will a 250gb SSD will be enough for Win 10 plus some small amount of games in it?
