Hi guys, I need a bit of advice. I bought a 2nd hand MSI Sea hawk GTX1080 in early Jan but yet to install it. I am using a custom loop to cool my Gigabyte 290X now so I bought the card thinking of swapping over as an upgrade.

However, due to work commitment and change of interest, I hardly play games now. Have not played any games since I completed Doom.

So I am wondering if I should keep the GTX1080 or just sell it to get back some money.

Rest if the rig:

6700K oc 4.8GHz
Asus Z170 Maximus Gene
2 x 8GB DDR2 2400 oc to 3000
512GB Samsung 950Pro
Seasonic 850W X series PSU

Btw, my monitor is just a normal Philips 23" 1920 x 1080 60Hz monitor. Not those gaming one. Originally plan to upgrade to 1440p but never did.

Main question would be how much do u expect to get back if u sell. Based on specs, your 290x is sufficient for 1080p gaming already, especially for 60Hz, so just sell ur 1080 if not using

Sell. By the time you need a better GPU, there will be new ones available.

It's quite clear leh, what would your reasons for keeping it be?

Personally, I would only keep it if I can find a way to use it. Look for a new game to play, etc.

If no interest + rather use the money to spend on other things, might as well sell. Unless I don't need the money, then doesn't matter sell or not.
