Been planning my itinerary but can't come here cus for some reason this forum is super glitchy on my phone. :/ Doesn't load.

I initially planned for 4d3n each at jeju and busan, but with the flight timings and stuff I'm thinking only having 2 full days at Jeju won't be enough. What do you guys think? What's an ideal time/stay for Jeju and Busan?

Anyone has a general itinerary for a trip to these 3 places? Will be travelling for 14 days total, familiar with Seoul but not with Jeju and Busan at all. Partner's first time to Korea so I want to bring him around Seoul quite a bit too, but as it stands it would be 4d3n Jeju, 4d3n Busan, 9d8n seoul (hoping to travel a little out to Jeonju etc too)

We are nature lovers so it seems like Jeju would be a great place to stay another night... but I'm torn. >.<

I will reach Jeju at 12.15pm, but I htink with driving to hotel, car rental etc easily reach 3+

i think can cover the cheonjiyeon falls on that day (cus its 300m from my hotel), maybe the bridge and a meal for dinner.

then day 2 and 3 full day, 1 day at seogwipo, 1 day at jeju...

guess forfeit hallasan (?)... 4th day leaving quite early cus quite few later flights back to busan :(

For Jeju, maybe 5d4n with 2n in different hotels might work out better.
U like mountains so can stay a night or 2 in a hotel in the mountains.
Quite refreshing to have mountain air and scenery

Since u like nature, def try hiking up and down Hallasan.
The scenery looks spectacular!
Seems like u can hike up and down on different trails and just take a taxi to the starting trailhead.
https://forkandfoot.com/hiking-mt-hallasan-jeju-island-south-korea/Seems like it takes a whole day though but probably worth it.

If u hike up Hallasan, can probably skip Seongsan Peak.
Seongsan Peak is like a mini Hallasan...kind of.
Hike up to the top of a volcanic crater.

We also went to Osulloc tea farm.
Quite crowded but nice to see a tea farm and the cafe there is nice, has items only sold in Jeju.

Hyeopjae Beach was ok, not very pretty i feel.
Only spent a short time there before going to the airport as it was on the way.

Food wise, really recommend
Myeongjin Jeonbok Abalone Restaurant
It can have a long wait but there is nice scenery outside.
The grilled abalones are good n worthwhile.
We had abalone dolsot rice i think and they give one whole grilled mackerel as banchan!

DIdnt really like jeju bbq black pig.
It is the no sauce type and comes complete with hair on the meat. haha

Tried abalone porridge in Busan and not worth it too.
One abalone inside the porridge for $12.
Better to get a plate of steamed/grilled abalones.

From Busan, can take a bus to Jeonju and then KTX to Seoul.
I think Jeonju famous attraction is the Hanok village and the bibimbab.

Maybe can spend one less day in Seoul and add that day to Jeju.
Easier to go to Seoul than Jeju.
Seoul is a big city like SG and Jeju is a whole lot different.

Busan I feel 3d2n is quite good.
Can make it 4d3n if u want to see some of the coastal walks and take it slow.

I realised I only got more things to do on seogwipo side, so decided to stick with 4d3n… 2nd full day I might have time for Hallasan :)

I’m planning to go to Busan for the Igidae coastal walk!! That’s what I look forward to the most.

my partner confirm wanna try black pork hahaha. My hotel very close to the waterfalls so I think good enough la (cheap-ish). Maybe next time :)

hyeopjae not nice? :( sad haha I was looking forward to the beaches.
Thanks!!

If you like hiking, you gonna visit Hallasan no? Tallest peak in South Korea. :)

Seongsan Sunrise Peak is very scenic and to me, a must go.

Sangumburi can be skipped if you do not have that much time.

For Busan, we did the coastal walk from Oryukdo to Idigae. It is nice but personally, I prefer peaks e.g Geumjeongsan or Daedunsan than such walks.

Which car rental company did you all use for jeju?
We used lotte who gave us a small car with like a ton of used mileage on it like 200k+.

The car was total trash and the wind almost ripped the door off! Seriously lol

When we returned it, the car could really have been tossed into the scrap yard.
Feel sorry for the next customer.

Lotte car in other cities were ok though with newish cars.

For Busan, some places are
1. Jalgachi market
2. BIff area ( the hotteok street vendors have good hotteoks)
3. Haeundae Beach.
(The starbucks inside Chosun hotel has nice overhead view of the beach, good for a break)
4. Gwangalli Beach
5. Coastal walks

Hotels are dependent on your budget.
Many expensive hotels are at the Haeundae area but I think that area is overrated.
If u can, get a hotel with beach or ocean view.
Park Hyatt Busan or Signiel Busan if u got the cash!

There is also a new Lotte world at Busan, supposedly much larger than the one in Seoul but I haven't been to both so can't give review.
