SingTel 4G works pretty good most of the time even at 3 bars. I hate it when I fall back on 3G. It hardly seems to work, notwithstanding the fact that it's way slower even with 5 bars.

You are using it on iPhone 5? How's the coverage for street level and in shopping malls?

Street level has pretty good coverage. I've not been to the west of Singapore (CCK, Bukit Batok, Yew Tee) often enough, so no comment on that. You would be hard pressed to tell if you were ever in 3G. The 4G coverage is pretty good.

As for buildings, it's safe to say that many shopping malls I've been to has good coverage and speed. Nex, Jem, JCube, Changi City Point, Plaza Singapura, White Sands, Hougang mall, Compass Point, Vivocity. The only places where there is a lack of 4G are MRT tunnels. Except the circle line: from harbourfront to Bishan there's 4G!

Closing comments: unless you work in MRT tunnels, you shouldn't have to worry about the quality of the 4G service. :s13:

To tally with your statement, I have so far only been to Changi Airport. Compass Point. Bedok, Changi, Kembangan, Punggol and Sengkang areas. These have LTE on street level.

Should the signal fall back to 3G, I have been getting speeds from 4-20MPBs alone! Simply amazing for their 42MBPs upgrade and network enhancement.

The LTE signal is pretty strong and speeds are super blazing fast compared to M1. I have no regrets changing to SingTel.
