In light of the passing of the legendary Sim Wong Hoo, who gave voice to the PC and heralded a new era of multimedia systems and more, I thought it would be nice for everyone to chip in their first experiences with Creative products. Even if you've forgotten what your first might be, at least the first that you remember :)

For me, it was my Sound Blaster Pro and playing games like Space Quest, Kings Quest, Romance of the 3 kingdoms, Indiana Jones, Dune II, C&C and much more. From a computer that could only make beeps, I could finally hear the dialogue and revel in the in-game atmosphere and a plethora of sound effects that I could only hear from a TV/radio. What an eye-opener that was.

I soon climbed up the ladder with SB16, SB 64, and Live!.

What's yours?

Sounds blaster audigy 2 zs with a 7.1 speaker. Last time use it to play CS and watch movies. Not exactly best sounding, but the surround sound is awesome

The sound card i used for decades, with third party drivers.

Same journey as VJ. From Sound Blasters then to their GFX card, CD rom, Gigawork speakers, X-Fi, etc.

Oh I played those games too. Duplicated from friendly uncles who ran the shops.

Before CDs, wasn't Ah Bengs who ran the show.
