Does anyone use https://www.shell.com.sg/motorists/loyalty-and-payment/skip-the-queue-with-shell-smartpay.html ?

I'm facing issue with the smartpay app charged me full amount to my credit card even through in the app, it stated a much lower amount (after all the discounts).

The staff at the pump station also clueless.

Posting here to see anyone use this before and will Shell refund me the excess or the app is just bad?
Station staff would usually only be familiar with BAU stuff.

If got error will still need to escalate by contacting them.

When I use uob one on my smart pay, they will post the gross amount as pending on my statement, final amount posted will be net. Net amount can take a day~ to show.

Wait for a few days after the transaction and it should post the actual amount. I have used this before.

You are allowed to pre-set an amount before you pump. A few days after pumping it will show u the actual amount deducted

I’ve used Shell SmartPay a couple of times, and I did have an issue once where it charged the full pre-authorized amount instead of the discounted one, but it sorted itself out after a couple of days when the final charge updated on my card. I’d say give it a bit of time and check your statement, but if it doesn’t adjust, you’ll probably need to contact Shell’s support. I’ve found the app handy when it works, but it can be a bit glitchy, and the staff at the station usually can’t do much to help with app problems.

Yea cause station staff aren’t trained for such. They only deal with BAU

You go jb pump petrol with credit card also work the same way. TS too pampered always let pump attendant pump and you go counter and pay?

I experienced one pump that couldnt register the shell smartpay. After verifying otp the page just hang at "authorising pump". If this happens just go to another pump and restart the shell pay and repeat.

I encountered similar issue last week. The app was stuck at "Authorising Pump" for a minute or so. I waited and it was successful after that.
