Should I wait for SITEX 2013

I'm thinking of getting a Toshiba Protege Z930 i5 version and NTU is selling it at $1423.10 with no freebies (only carry case and mouse), but need to wait 2-3 weeks for stock to arrive. The model is selling at $1599 now with some freebies like 500gb hard disk which I dont really need. Do you guys think the Sitex will have a better deal for this?

Typically the school gives a good deal only if you are looking for just a normal laptop (for work purposes), and yoy want a long on-site warranty to go with it.
otherwise if you use it to play games or don't need the warranty, then you can consider buying from shops outside that give better prices for an equal or better spec laptop. And there are also ' Free' gifts

you should check the software bundle. I don't know for NTU, but NUS will bundle with office and adobe-ware IIRC that's worth much more than the freebies they give out.
