Signing On SPF question

I'm currently serving NS in army and plan to sign on with SPF aft ord. Does my rank in Army affect my chances in getting into SPF? Like if I'm a corporal in Army, can I sign on as a sergeant in SPF? Diploma holder btw..

sure u can sign on specialist in police, only if u sign on as senior officer they may question u why last time u in army not even a commander

Police and Army rank structure works differently. SGT is considered entry-level rank in SPF for diploma holders. it's not even called 'Specialist'. the proper term is Police Officer.

don't worry la, diploma holder at least is SGT de..ur nsf rank doesnt matter one..

Rank in SAF does nt matter and will not affect ur application in SPF. As long as u meet the educational requirement, u will be accepted.

A Level / Dip Holder entry rank is SGT. u can be a 2LT or LTA when u ord, but once u sign on, it will be SGT. Even if u quit after 5yrs as a CPT, u join SPF as a Dip holder, u will auto be SGT.

if u cant get selected to get into OCS, how u gonna answer that?

from what i know dip n below can only be police officer and those with degree one be senior officer

wat i am saying is.. if u apply senior officer, they will beo and wonder why u not even a 3SG but a man... even with a degree.. was it bcos u fail IPPT, or u beh kan, etc.

for police officer, got dip can sign on already la.. but but i dun recommend u sign ur life away unless u know what u are doing.

second that. I would advise you to work outside first and see if the outside world suit you anot. or altermative, u can be volunteer police first to experience it. Policing is tough Job man. easily 15hours a shift.
