Hello!

I was just offered a spot in Bachelor of Science Business mgmt (PT) for Sept 24 intake.

tbh getting a lill nervous tho is still quite some time away.
& the last time i studied was prolly about 10 years ago lol.

Any seniors here is kind enough to share some survival tips and lecture notes on the following subjects below?

EC1002 Introduction to economics
MT105A Mathematics 1 (half module) and ST104A Statistics 1 (half module)
AC1025 Principles of accounting
MN1178 Business and management in a global context

Happy to PM and chat more with seniors/batch mates!
Sit front rows, attend class everyday and do assignment. Use VLE portal for self-study.

Sharing of lecturer notes is prohibited so mostly here is ask for recommended lecturer and contact details so can book their lesson for the whole course.

hi,

i’m currently a y1 student and after taking the last 2 papers, and bombing it, i think i might have to retake some mods.
does anyone know what the procedures for retaking would be like, and what to expect?
i’m aware that it will affect my graduation period + more $$$. aside from that, what other things do i need to take note of ?
Asked them a few days ago.

Can resit in Oct or May next year. Resit means 2nd chance. For Bachelor, they have 3 chances to take paper while Masters only 2 chance.

If retake in Oct means self-study and no need pay school fees (optional to take class). If retake next year May then need pay school fees for the courses you're going to retake again. Both need pay more $$$.

Retake take latest score not highest score so if retake mark lower then gg. There's a finance course FN1024 going to change next year to FN1202 so need check if there's other changes to your grad list.

How to calculate the FCH classifications for students that enrolled in year 2023 and onwards?

Programme regulation say need 10 fch grades, or 8 with average 65 to get FCH.

If my year 1 is screwed up, does that mean I need all fch for the remaking 8 year 2 and 3 modules?

I think a full course is 30 credits and counted as 2 marks, half course counted as 1. They mentioned this above the table

The 10 FCH marks is referring to classification marks. Each module gets 2 identical classification marks. They want 10 FCH classification marks out of 16 or 18 classification marks (depending on any exemptions given) if you read the EMFSS programme regulations document. So technically its just a chim roundabout way of saying 5As out of the 9 will get a fch.
For the first year if no exemptions, they take the average mark of all 4 mods which will give 2 identical classification marks. So this first year mark + the marks of all 8 mods in the next 2 years will be considered. You can still get FCH if u get 5As out of the rest of the remaining 8 modules or if your total for all 9 mods averages to be 65 or more. (65x9= 585). So if total > 585 and there are 4 As can also get FCH. if u need a better explanation do email sim student services.

Hi I took EMFSS bridging and was exempted from 3 modules. does that mean I can get FCH if
1) my remaining 9 mods get >65 OR
2) I get 5As out of my remaining 9 mods? Thanks

I'm a Year 1 student in UOL's Data Science and Business Analytics programme. Could you tell me who the recommended lecturers are for the Year 1 modules, and if possible, their email addresses?
