If there is only ONE card for cashback you would like for all your purchases, what would it be?

Amex True Cashback

Good choice. DBS Live Fresh and OCBC Frank are also strong contenders, but have $600 min spend.

The worst pick for me is ONE certain card that requires me to monitor my spend really really closely or lose out on 3 mths worth of cashback.

Imagine someone with regular payment of more than 2K with cardup. One is the best card.

CIMB World Mastercard for me if there is no specific fields of spending.

My main card is however Citibank Cashback due to frequent spending on petrol, marketing and food.

The best cashback card for beginner is maybank Barcelona visa card. Simply due to it being visa and best no limit no minimal spend cashback of 1.6%.

Not to mention they have more relaxed provision on exclusion too

Uob One card is not for fuss free beginner while giving one of the best return for general spending. User must figure the combination across. I use 2 uob one cards with different statement dates (with my wife's) to cover any days in the month while maxing the rebate.
The main trick will be the ability to adjust the balance for each month to hit $2k monthly spend

For fuss free cards:

Amex True Cashback has 3% for the first $5,000 of spend in first 6 months.

If can hit $600 monthly, OCBC FRANK is pretty good for Paywave even though there is a $25 cap on Paywave for 6% cashback. Even if you spend $1,000 entirely on Paywave, it’s still a 2.5% cashback card.

Spree would be good if you don’t want to hit the minimum monthly, or if you have beyond $1,200 spending where FRANK becomes less than 2% when used only on Paywave. You can spend up to $3,000 on Spree via Paywave since the cashback cap is $60 a month.

If you are like me, who cannot hit minimum spend limits, then, I would just use credit cards for the initial signup bonus and do the required spending and then cancel the card and re-apply again after 12 months. That has been my strategy all along. This year I earned
Citibank: 200 cash from paynow
Amex: 180 qoo10 vouchers +$20 capita vouchers

Last year I earned
HSBC: $150 cashback
OCBC: $100 cashback

I have cancelled SCB, Citi, HSBC, OCBC, CIMB and DBS cards this year and currently only have Amex and ICBC cards.

Next year I will again apply for SCB and DBS cards and try for the signup bonus.

this type of thing people hav been doing ever since they offered sign up offers.
anyway, some banks changed T&C; it states sign up offers only 1 in a lifetime per customer. SCB is one example.

Only SCB does this. But I would look for Singsaver exclusive reward, then it doesnt matter what SCB says.

Could Singsaver's bonus be dependent on SCB's verification that you are a first time applicant?
