Yes, the little red dot has 5 telecommunication carriers. As a customer myself, sometimes I do find things very fluff and confusing, especially with all the jargon and superfluous numbers being thrown all around.
Don’t worry, I am here to simplify all that for you, so you don’t end up signing a 2-year contract full of regret.

MOBILE
First, let’s take a look at the buffet offered to you. Note that I have chosen the “2nd-tier” plan as that’s the most “general” plan for most people.
As you can see, there isn’t much “differentiation” between the Big 3… The only thing that stands out is that SingTel offers 1GB less than that of others.
WIN: M1.
But wait, what if you are a student?
Without a shadow of a doubt, StarHub offers the best value for money.
WIN: StarHub.
Now here’s the category where things get contentious.
Across the 4, all look pretty decent, except for SingTel. StarHub just loses out to M1 by a hair. Between M1 and Circles, M1 appears to have better value.
WIN: M1? Nope.
Circles.Life because 20for20 is just too good.
Overall, if you’re on a contract, StarHub is the best choice. If you’re not, then Circles.Life is the obvious choice.

FIBRE
The same goes for broadband. I’m choosing the most “general” plan, the one that offers 1Gbps.
Across them all, M1 is the cheapest, but SingTel offers great value despite its higher price. Still, so long as you don’t choose MyRepublic, you’re good to go.
WIN: SingTel.
Overall, there doesn’t seem to be much competition with regards to the fibre game. With that said, if you and your family have a bundle package (i.e. mobile + fibre + TV), that’s the best choice to settle for at the moment. You’re NOT going to be better off by mixing and matching the best of each category.
