Hi,

I signed up with Singtel 10g and gotten 2 HB810.
All connections are up and i'm using wired backhaul, disable band steering and MLO.
On my 6g wireless connection speedtest, the best i can get is about 1,400ish mbps D/L and 1,500ish mbps U/L.
As all my devices are wireless, no chance to test wired connection.
Using iPhone 16 Pro Max, Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, Samsung 25 Ultra - all reaping more or less the same speed as mentioned above.
I've spoken to the technical support and they told me that speedtest (app by Ookla) results for wireless should be as follows; -
2.4G - up to 700mbps
5G - up to 700mbps
6G - up to 800mbps
Just wanna check with you guys, is the tech support correct or am i being taken for a ride?
Also able to advise what settings should be done to get the optimal from 10g broadband?
TIA

HB810 has the built-in OOkla SpeedTest utility. You can use that to check the wired speed.

Your Xiaomi 17 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra can get higher speed using the 6GHz band, if you set up 320 MHz channel bandwidth on the 6GHz band, say greater than 2Gbps or even higher. Some users have shown above 3Gbps WiFi speed.

iPhones do not support 320 MHz channel bandwidth and will be below 1.8Gbps as per the reports.

Another thing, SingTel SpeedTest server is having some issues now. So you may have to test with other Speedtest servers like MyRepublic and ViewQuest.

On the other hand, for mobile phones, it does not really matter if you get 800 Mbps or 1.4Gbps or 2Gbps.

Usually you will need a wired device if you really want to see around 8Gbps SpeedTest result. But that kind of high bandwidth use cases (other than SpeedTest) are kind of rare for your daily use cases.
