Is it me or is it just SingTel that does not have Samsung Galaxy S4 at RRP?

I went down on the 2nd or 3rd day of the launch of the S4 and I was told that I have to wait until 17 May 2013 before they can come up with a RRP for the phone.

Are they for real???

OK, apparently, it is the case for all telcos (WTF?)

SingTel (ST) is the only one with an actual date that they are selling the S4 at RRP of $998 from now (updated) at all ST retail outlets. Also instrcutions form the marketing team.

MobileOne (M1) is saying that it has nothing to do with Samsung's restriction. And apparently the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has the same approach and was barred from being sold at RRP for approx. 3 months.

Starhub is saying that they were instructed by their marketing department (like M1 & ST) to not selling it at RRP. They may even consider to not sell it at RRP. Same timeline for main streaming will apply for the device if it makes it to RRP.

Damn, this is some sh*tty marketing. Might as well not give me the $500 voucher! So many restrictions.

I believe the S$500 voucher is for recontracting purpose?
