Singtel tv STB error

Suddenly saw this error. Im the only user & I definitely didnt lock anything. Tried turning off & on main power but no use.

Anyone knows how to resolve? Thanks.

How to reset sia?

stick your head to the back of the set top box, use something sharp and poke the button lor. hold there until the power light blinks or some response is seen on the set top box or tv.

at time 00:51 of the video, you can see the reset button.

resetting the set top box means you might be downloading the software again, will take some time. and settings all gone. you need to configure your personal preferences again. resetting won't affect the singtel tv service though..

Thanks. Mine is another model STB but i guess its about the same. Btw im a singtel fibre broadband subscriber & the singtel tv STB came free. The trial period with all channels is over & i just have access to the preview channel.

Even then i doubt it has anything to do with “lock” u reckon?

haha, not too sure of how the STB will display after trial is over. but i think the tv will show you some messages though..

are you able to access free to air channels?

I cant even turn it off! Blue indicator light which doesn’t turn red even when i press power off. There is no mesage on tv either, just blue screen of death. Lol.

Remote can interchangeably use, but I think remote can don’t bring. Power supply and the box will do.

That was I did when I exchanged my 2012 Gray box with a new black box in Sept 2018.

Interestingly I was with Starhub Cable Online from 2005 - 2011 and the free trial of Mio TV (using ADSL cause I was using SingTel land line at that time) in Jan 2012 lured me to switch to SingTel Fibre plus Mio TV plus digital voice (Fibre Entertainment Bundle).

The STB is already bigger than the remote.

Not much burden to bring down the remote as well.

So I unplugged the STB overnight and turned it on and now its ok. Weird!!

might be power supply issue also, causing a leak in current or what..
