Can someone tell me if SIT-NU electrical power cert is useful in the society?

As compared to what? If you're thinking of taking this degree after your diploma then go ahead. It will be more useful than your diploma because its a degree.

For knowledge and passion, yes. For a career as a professional engineer, no, since PE board does not recognize DL degrees

Same reply - if u foresee yourself working in M&E line (aka construction industry), then go ahead.

If your interest is more in Electronics area of the EEE family, then please consider other local Unis.

Because as the SIT-NU EE degree curriculum specializes mainly in Power, it will be difficult for u to venture into other EE fields after graduation.

Anyway to register as PE, a degree recognized by PEB is only one of the pre-requisites.
