SL400 Thinkpad Motherboard

Anyone knows if the below parts/motherboard is still available in SLS??

PM45 nVidia NB9M-GS 256 MB, DDR2 -------------- NVIDIA® GeForce 9300M
PM45 nVidia N10M-GE1 256 MB, DDR2 ------------- NVIDIA® GeForce G105M
(the parts name was found in the SL400 parts list)

NVIDIA® GeForce 9300M/G105M - is it the equivalent to a motherboard or a gfx/gpu??

also any reputable/trust-worthy shops that is recommended to look for such parts?? no dodgy or unethical shops please.. thank u..

my friend told me to go sls to "treasure hunt" from level 3 onwards for that part i wanted but it is damn troublesome

that's what a lot of people say..
currently it is not economical for me to get a new one as the one i'm using now replying in this forum is still working perfectly fine and just need its graphics upgrade but due to the chipset is permanently soldered onto its mainboard which therefore needed to change the whole thing..

question is by looking for that Geforce 9300M GS, does it comes with the board or it is just the chipset??

Not economical for replacement. Is there any issues with your current L400?

Highly doubt that the GPU is MXM socketed though - it's probably soldered, hence getting a used / refurb motherboard is akin to getting a used laptop.

For that price, I would suggest getting a refurb i5/i7 thinkpad / elitebook - which can be $100 - $300. i series processors are much faster than its core 2 duo / core duo counter parts

I always have my repair/upgrade work for laptop at SLS. Very good after service also, always entertain my questions
Maybe you can try dropping them a message & tell them what you wanna do then let them advise? Dont need to go down is the best!
