Updated fine. Took a little longer while starting up the MBA, but I suppose it could be because it was enrolled in the Beta test program.

The MBPs at home all updated fine.

for those who have newer Intel integrated GPU only, 4000, Iris, Iris Pro, once upgraded to 10.9.3, the "About This Mac / More Info" no longer displays GPU RAM.

I was updating this OS yesterday when I accidentally tripped the power cable and my iMac powered off whilst the update was installing.

I couldn't power on after that.

How can I get this rectified? It is backed up regularly on Time Capsule but can't switch on now so can't even restore from Time Capsule.

No power at all?

- try different power source(direct to wall socket)
- Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

if issue persists, you have a faulty HW there - possible PSU/Main Logic Board. I hope your imac is still in warranty. If you have AppleCare Protection Plan, you can call in to AppleCare to have a technician to come down and have it fixed at your home.

Starting up in Safe Mode

To start up into Safe Mode (to Safe Boot), follow these steps.

Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key.
The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple logo and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
After the logo appears, you should see a progress bar during startup. This indicates that your computer is performing a directory check as part of Safe Mode.

To leave Safe Mode, restart your computer without holding any keys during startup.

nope, the onsite service is for hardware repair only.

Can you start up the computer and hold down option to boot to startup manager? Does the system reboot itself here?

if it does, then it's a HW fault, that is if you have already tried SMC reset to be sure.

if it does not restart then it's a corrupted software, there are steps you can get this resolve, let us know if this is the case....
