Updated using App Store. Strange, cannot select drive if I use the combo update on iMac 5K. Anyone else with this issue? I guess its due to the Fusion Drive.

You have successfully updated to 10.10.2 but cannot boot to startup manager after the update?
Updated on my MBP with Fusion drive and no issues booting to startup manager.

No, I mean I cannot use the combo to update, during installation of update, cannot select drive. Have to use the update from App store instead.

Just tested, no issues booting to startup manager after update.

Yes my practice is always from the App Store first, if the app store does not work then manual update from Apple Support Website.

Reason: some of these updates have certain requirements like OS Version and other updates installed.

When you run it from the App Store, it does a verification of those requirements before the download starts.

How do u know need to re enable trim ? Isn't it like auto enabled by default ?

The update switched off trim. Trim Enabler have this auto check feature on boot which is how I found out it was turned off after the update.

Can it be used for a 2010 iMac with 8Gb Ram?

If you're already on OS X Yosemite, doesn't really matter because it has the same requirement.

If not, refer to How to install OS X Yosemite on your Mac - Apple Support for detailed requirements

I am getting very slow download speed on my FTTH internet connection.
OSXUpdCombo10.10.2.dmg 2.6 MB/s - 468 MB of 802 MB, 2 mins left

What download speeds do you guys hit?

By the time I'm replying this, I believe your download should have completed.

Most of the time the internet subscription does not really play a big factor on the download speed be it fiber broadband, cable broadband or ADSL: a decent 8mbps plan is good enough - usually depends on download server. Since this update is newly released, I'm guessing the amount of download from users globally is causing the slowness but it shouldn't be that bad seeing you're downloading it at 2MB/s which is a decent download speed.

This is especially common when there is a new version of OS X released to a point that download keeps failing/interrupted and get corrupted and users have to download several times.

To answer your question, I used Mac App Store for this update and the whole process took about 10mins.
