The 1V supports Stand Alone 5G though.. but I do notice 5G availability is still available, but intermittent depending on area. For example Payalebar area got 5G. Most of the time on 4G+ after the update.. on Zero1 MVNO

In this video, creator Daniel Makes Photos shares his experience switching from the iPhone 16 Pro to the Sony Xperia 1 Mark V for his professional video and photography work (0:00-0:15). He explains that the Sony Xperia 1 Mark V offers greater reliability and specialized creative features that cater to his needs as a secondary camera.

Key Highlights:

Reliability and Storage: Unlike his previous iPhone, the Sony allows for direct recording to an SD card, which the creator finds essential for long-duration recording sessions like interviews or concerts (1:24-1:40).

Camera Apps & Features: He highlights the versatility of Sony's dedicated apps, such as Photo Pro, Video Pro, and Cinema Pro, which offer manual control and high-quality shooting modes (6:52-8:45).

External Monitor Capability: He demonstrates how the phone acts as a powerful, 4K-calibrated external monitor for his other cameras, noting that it can record footage internally without the time limits found on some dedicated cameras (3:36-6:18).

Photo and Video Performance: The creator provides extensive comparisons between RAW and JPEG images, and shares 4K 120fps video samples to demonstrate the sensor's capabilities (11:50-18:45).

Ergonomics and Build: He praises the phone's physical design, specifically the dedicated two-step shutter button and the textured grip, which he finds superior for photography (21:26-22:06).

Important Considerations:
Regional Limitations: The creator notes that owning a Japanese version of the device comes with specific challenges, such as difficulties with 5G bands, messaging verification, and an unavoidable shutter sound (19:54-20:56).

Display Shimmering: He mentions that while the 4K 120Hz display is sharp, it can experience flickering or 'shimmering' at lower brightness levels (21:00-21:20).
